fragments of 18th century Ukiyo-e woodcuts.
Interpretations of the merchant ship, the castle, the fateful rose and the loving couple envelop the length of his acrylic body.
The golden enamel in relief separates each chapter, emulating the Japanese technique Kintsugi ("repair with gold");

Bijo-To-Yaju is completely handmade; all the components of the body are cast and turned in the Montegrappa artisan factory.
The fountain pens feature a custom 8mm 18-karat gold nib with ebonite piping, powered by the manufacturer's famous 32-tooth ratchet plunger filling system.
A lacquered wooden casket designed by Kazuhiko emulates the tiered roofs of Japanese medieval castles.
