The use of unique materials has always been the distinctive feature of the Homo Sapiens family. From this initial stimulus, an exhausting research in the field of cutting-edge materials was born, inspired in particular by the manufacturing of the most prestigious Italian supercars and hypercars.

TEXTURE MOIRÉ

After extensive research and experimentation, our research has landed on the use of forged carbon: a recently conceived composite material, obtained by combining fragments of carbon fiber and resin. This characteristic gives the barrel an organic appearance: the fibers in fact take on an irregular and dynamic shape.
However, it is thanks to the careful process of amalgamating the gold leaf within the compound that this material becomes aesthetically unparalleled. The golden shade gives life to unique plays of reflections: the material seems alive, three-dimensional, almost holographic, exactly like the refined moiré fabrics that give the collection its name. Enthusiastic about the aesthetic result of this play of reflections, we have chosen to leave the material exposed to its natural state without further surface coatings. In this way, by sliding your fingers over the surface of the pen, you can perceive the succession of carbon fibers with their slight reliefs and depressions, obtaining a pleasantly porous and irregular effect.

HI-TECH MATERIALS

The use of forged carbon gives the pen its characteristic lightness, emphasized by the grade 5 titanium metalwork, a special alloy that is twice as light as brass and steel. This undergoes a controlled natural oxidation treatment, which allows our designers to reproduce the color of the gold leaf by exploiting the chemical characteristics of titanium, without the use of varnishes.
The natural color of the titanium remains visible on the Visconti clip thanks to a delicate laser engraving, which removes the oxidation, revealing the underlying titanium, giving life to a refined two-tone effect.
To protect the metal parts, a very thin layer of transparent nano-ceramic coating is applied, which stabilizes the color over time and protects the titanium from any micro-scratches.
The edition is limited to 226 pieces, in homage to the atomic numbers of the main chemical elements that give the pen its extraordinary lightness: carbon (6) and titanium (22).
