New Delta Indigenous People 2025 Simbu

Delta Indigenous People 2025 Simbu

Delta is pleased to present the Indigenous People Collection 2025 Simbu "Dancing Skeletons".

Hidden among the imposing peaks of Papua New Guinea, the Simbu are a people of warriors, farmers and custodians of an ancient tradition that links earthly life to the spirit world.
Their name comes from the local word "Simbu!", an exclamation of wonder uttered by Australian explorers when they first encountered this proud tribe in the Highlands.
The Simbu are famous for their tribal dances, traditional music and above all their famous skeletal body painting, where they paint their bodies like skeletons to scare off their enemies.

Society is organized into patriarchal clans, with strong family ties and traditional hierarchies.
Land is very important: ownership of the land is linked to lineage and has social as well as economic value.

“The past does not fade: it dances among the living, engraved in the bones of tradition.”
Delta Indigenous People 2025 Simbu, a tribute to the legacy, a vision for the future.
